The library is intentionally evergreen and growing. There are currently a dozen core themes — perseverance, integrity, gratitude, showing up, and more — with new ones added as fathers share what matters most. You'll never run out of meaningful cards.

Can I customize what the cards say?

You can share lessons you want a kid in your life to learn — we collect submissions from dads and father figures, look for common themes, and turn them into cards, so the collection of fatherly advice keeps growing. The back of every card is left blank and the envelope is unaddressed, so the personal part is yours: add a handwritten note, sign it however that child knows you, then hand it over or mail it yourself.

Do the cards work for stepdads, grandfathers, or father figures?

Yes — and we're glad you're here. Every card is printed in a "from Dad" voice and ships to you, whoever you are in that kid's life: stepdad, grandfather, uncle, coach, mentor. Each card comes with a blank envelope, so you can sign the back however the child knows you, add a personal note, and either hand it over or address it and drop it in the mail. The printed words stay consistent; your relationship comes through in your own handwriting.

Not today. As a small, family-run business, we keep things meaningful by printing one beautiful set of cards that everyone receives — no per-subscriber print runs. That's why every card has a blank back: it's the space for your handwriting, your signature, your inside jokes. We hope to offer printed personalization down the road; for now, the hand-written note is the personalization.

They're written for kids roughly 7 and up. The lessons are plainspoken enough for a child to understand today and substantial enough to still mean something twenty years from now.

Yes — the Collection page shows every theme in the library and includes sample wisdom, so you know exactly the tone and substance of what you're choosing from before you order anything.

We hand-curate the three each month from the growing library, balancing themes so the lineup feels distinct from month to month — sometimes seasonal, sometimes pulled from what dads have been telling us is landing for their kids. There's no algorithm; a real person picks them.

How do I know which value to choose?

Read the short story on the This Month page and pick the one that sounds most like a conversation you'd want to have right now. There's no wrong choice — and choosing nothing this month is also a choice.

Yes — to be included in that month's mailing, please place your order at least 7 days before the end of the month. Anything ordered after the cutoff rolls into the following month's card so we have time to print and hand off to the postal carrier in time for a beginning-of-the-month arrival.

Cards are shipped so they arrive in your mailbox near the first of every month. We time each mailing to the postal carrier's transit windows so the card lands at the start of the month, every month.

No — every card ships to you, at the address on your account. We keep delivery simple on purpose: the card and a blank envelope land with you, you sign the back, add a note, and either give it to the kid in person or address the envelope and mail it yourself.

Not today. We release one new set of three cards each month, and you choose from that month's lineup — so orders are placed one month at a time. It keeps each card tied to a real decision rather than a stockpile.

We don't collect any information about your kids — no names, no addresses, no ages — so nothing is ever locked to a specific child on our end.

Do I need an account?

No — you can check out as a guest. An account is optional but useful: it saves your card for faster reorders, lets you update your shipping address in one place, and keeps a running history of every theme and subject you've ordered over time. That history can be a meaningful record to look back on as your kids grow. There's nothing to cancel — no subscription, no recurring charges — and you can delete your account from the Account page or by emailing us.
